EGYPT: THE STRATEGY

Temsa Egypt is the first overseas production facility of Temsa. It is located in Egypt which is the on the crossroad of two continents, Africa & Asia. Egypt has a unique geographical location, which makes is a perfect gateway to Middle East & Africa. On the other hand, Egypt has strong economic ties with Arab and African countries thanks to its Free Trade Agreements such as GAFTA, COMESA, and AGADIR.

In its premises, Temsa Egypt will manufacture the coaches specially designed for the region. Temsa Egypt will be the export base of Temsa for the surrounding markets. Temsa Egypt will distribute its products through the extensive sales & after sales network of Temsa in MENA & GCC region. Temsa aims to duplicate its success in Europe and become one of the major players in North Africa, Middle East and Gulf countries.

FACTORY

Temsa Egypt factory is established in 10th of Ramadan Industrial Zone, which is at a distance of 50 km to Cairo, the capital of Egypt. The official inauguration of the factory took place on 20th of April 2008. Temsa Egypt production facilities have a capacity to manufacture 500 coach and 500 midibuses, totaling 1000 vehicles per year in one shift. Temsa Egypt premises have a total area of 80.000m2 with an approximate 33.000 m2 closed space. Currently, there are 310 employees at Temsa Egypt, while it will provide employment to around 750 people when operating at full capacity.

PRODUCT LINE UP

The firsts product of Temsa Egypt premises is a 12-meter luxury coach, Safari SD. With its elegant, attractive and European style, Safari SD is designed for medium and long distance journeys and tourism excursions. The manufacture of Safari SD combines European standards of technology and Turkish ingenuity and quality, including many features, which transform a journey into a pleasure. With its emphasis on passenger safety, consistently high performance on all road conditions and robust structure, the Safari SD is designed to defy time.

In addition to luxury coaches Temsa Egypt will be manufacturing new buses and midibuses designed for MENA region, which means that Temsa will soon broaden its production portfolio with new models.
